Challenged as I was to carry my pack every day, Andi and Esther carried their precious cargo, 8-month-old Irma, from Pamplona to Finisterre!

Camino Bambino

Sweet little Irma, just eight months old,
Packed by your daddy, treasured like gold.
Beside you, proud mama walked Camino miles,
You, so little fussing, so many soft smiles.
Sparkling blue eyes as you reached out your arms,
Budding white teeth just add to your charms.
Over hill and through towns you rocked with the motion,
Past churches and farmyards, all the way to the ocean.
You may not remember all that you’ve seen,
The people you met, the places you’ve been.
How many strangers your smiles turned to friends,
A much bigger a family by your journey’s end.
New grandmas and grandpas from many parts
Always you’ll be, held fast in our hearts.

Grow in health, happiness and love Irma….
      God bless you…    Roxey
