You won't go hungry on the Camino, and if you leave yourself open to new experiences . . . you may discover some new favourties.
While I never saw an electric dishwasher at the albergues along the way, and while most kitchens were smaller than my own, my meals along the Camino satisfied my hunger! North American food prep hygiene requirements aside, other than at one upscale hotel (you can read about it in the book!) I never suffered from the "casual" attitude towards food prep, storage and dishwashing. From roadside vendors, to communal kitchens, to dark and crowded mercados and, best of all . . . our pot-luck picnic, the food kept us fueled and sustained along the journey. And of course . . . there was always wine!
